SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
The St. Luke’s Medical Center, together with and in support of the St. Luke’s College of Medicine, has embarked in an unprecedented feat of generosity by granting full scholarships to the best and the brightest graduates of leading Colleges/Universities of the land. It is the ultimate hope of this endeavor that the best medical school in the Philippines, and St. Luke's Medical Center, a state-of-art and first JCIA-accredited Medical Center in the Philippines, are able to educate and train intellectually gifted individuals who aim for academic excellence with integrity and commitment and who truly desire to become part of the competent and compassionate healing professionals.
The St. Luke's College of Medicine Scholarship Program has two types of grants: full scholarship and partial scholarship.
The full scholarship is awarded to bachelor degree holders who graduated with Latin honors from colleges/universities in the Philippines with NMAT ratings of 90% and above. This scholarship covers tuition, laboratory and miscellaneous fees and books.
The partial scholarship is given to bachelor degree holders with a GWA of 2.0 (or its equivalent) and an NMAT rating of 90%. or higher This covers 75% of the tuition, laboratory and miscellaneous fees and books.
A student promoted to the next year level may obtain/maintain a full scholarship provided that the GWA of the previous year is 85% or higher, with no grade lower than 80%. A partial scholarship may be obtained/maintained in the next year level if: (1) the GWA is 85% or higher without a failing grade, OR (2) there is no grade below 80%.
No other medical school offers a generous scholarship package of free tuition, free miscellaneous fees and free books to worthy students. The St. Luke's Medical Center provides enough funds to support up to 60 scholars per year lever per year.
REVOCATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
After an evaluation by the Scholarship Committee, scholars found guilty of any of the following infractions are automatically disqualified and their scholarship privileges immediately revoked:
• Any act which may be considered inimical to the interest of the College;
• Any misconduct or misdemeanor; and
• Any offense involving moral turpitude
